For the second summer in a row, I participated in Summer Institute for Elementary Teachers (SIET) at Science World. This year’s theme was tinkering and making. Over 4 days, teachers from across the province engaged in activities, field trips and conversations to be able to better integrate technology and inquiry into the classroom. The perks of this workshop: walking away with ready to use lessons, material, and French resources!! One of the things I want to explore this year is using a variety of technologies to show my learning. So, instead of a full blog write up, here is a photo slideshow of the technologies I used and projects we made during the 4-day institute. If you would like more information or have any questions, please let me know! You will also find some useful links at the bottom of this page. A big thank you to Sandra Corbeil and Renée-Claude Goulet from Canada Science and Technology Museums Corporation and to Sharon Lapwood, Karen Lee, Sandy Eix and the rest of the team at Science World for another quality professional development opportunity.
